My first destination wedding! (Okay, my first not-in-Europe wedding!)
We were a bunch of Swedes going to this wedding and lucky for me I knew the bride very well. Actually since we were 10 years old!
But I had never met the groom. I was very curious who this Desta guy was.
When Benedicte talked about him, I could see that it was something special about him.
Something that made Benedicte smile and became softer in some sort of way. I loved seeing the reaction he had on her even without him being there!
On the wedding day we woke up early to get ready for the wedding portraits. It was little bit foggy but so so beautiful!
Desta was ready and excited, we had some minutes to talk but I could see in his face that he just wanted to see Benedicte.
My favourite pictures from this wedding is when Desta is waiting for his bride to be.
And I love the sweet smile of Benedicte when she getting closer to Desta. Their joy in their faces are priceless!
The wedding portraits went like a dance and we were so happy that it didn’t rain! (it rained two days in a row before the wedding day)
During the photoshoot I saw that Desta really cares and love Benedicte, and as her friend I couldn’t be more happy for her!
Then it was time for the ceremony. It was awesome to see two nations in the same church, celebrating their marriage!
It was a true honor to be their wedding photographer and I loved the whole trip with their friends and family!
I vowed to myself that I need to do more destination weddings because this trip and wedding was amazing!
Oh my world, what a beautiful country and people Ethiopia have! /Mikaela
